SSIIM Unesco Chair welcomes Visiting Scholars and Visiting Researchers from around the world whose research activities makes an innovative contribution to the understanding of social and spatial inclusion of international migrants in urban settings

Visiting Scholar
A Visiting Scholar is generally a Middle Career Researcher and/or Professor at another institution; Visiting Scholars Research Fellowships are assigned through a competition whose announcement is advertised from time to time on the both SSIIM and Iuav web sites. Each Fellowship includes a grant whose amount is determined yearly according to budget funds made available by the University and other institutions.

Visiting Researcher
A Visiting Researcher is generally an Early Stage Researcher who is working towards a graduate degree or doing postgraduate work at another institution. Visiting Researcher at SSIIM Unesco Chair is a non-paid position. Applications for Visiting Researcher positions are open all the year long. Candidates should submit a c.v., a short letter describing their research project and how it would benefit from participation in the SSIIM Unesco Chair at the following address: info@ unescochair-iuav.it

Visitors normally are in residence at SSIIM Unesco Chair for a minimum of one month to a maximum of three months

SSIIM Unesco Chair provides both Visiting Scholars and Visiting Researchers access to its facilities (including Università Iuav di Venezia library, office space, internet, telephones, printers) so that they can conduct research on an approved topic while in residence. Visitors are expected to contribute with a scientific article to SSIIM Paper Series. Furthermore, SSIIM Unesco Chair arranges a number of formal and informal functions for Visitors during their stay, i.e. lectures, participation in workshops, networking and interchange with SSIIM Unesco Chair Research team, etc.
