This research is part of the “VoiceOver: Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings Support and Empowerment through a Survivor Leaders Engagement model”, co-funded by the European Union. The project is rooted in the observation that trafficked people normally do not speak with their voice and the measures in place to support survivors do not necessarily respond to the experiences of trafficked persons. As Research Centre, one of SSIIM’s tasks within the project was to identify, describe, and disseminate good practices in the field of anti-trafficking and migrants’ inclusion, with particular attention to those adopting peer-to-peer approach and/or direct engagement/involvement of former beneficiaries as strategies to better reach out and to provide tailored assistance to their target population(s).
